Troubleshooting unread doses

The Gocap will show dashes on the display screen and will report “Unread dose” on the app when a dose was not successfully logged.

1. Pull the insulin pen out of the Gocap. A

Wait 7 seconds.

2. Push the insulin pen into the Gocap until it clicks. Twist the pen and stop when snapped into place. B

3. The Gocap displays the insulin remaining on your pen and adds a check mark for each dose you take. C

The Gocap screen will show the rounded number of remaining insulin units. The circular checkmark dose indicator will appear on the display.

The Gocap can display up to three checkmarks at once. New checkmarks are added from the right side of the display and existing checkmarks are shifted over one place.

Each checkmark and circle will remain on the display for 10 hours from when it was added. If we have two doses within an hour, only one checkmark will be displayed for both doses.

4. Repeat steps 1-3 if the Gocap still shows dashes on the screen.

If the Gocap is not able to log a dose:

  • Make sure the insulin pen is pushed all the way in and twisted into place
  • Make sure Gocap is clean
  • Make sure Gocap is not physically damaged
  • Make sure Gocap’s temperature is not out of recommended range
  • Make sure the insulin pen is clean
  • Make sure the insulin pen is not damaged
  • Make sure the insulin pen is unexpired
