The Gocap will display an empty, blinking circle on the LCD screen beginning 1 hour before the scheduled dose time. When the scheduled dose time arrives, the Gocap will continue displaying the empty blinking circle for up to 1 hour. If two doses are scheduled within one hour of each other, only one empty circle is ever shown at one time.
When a scheduled dose is not taken, Gocap removes the empty circle from the display, 1 hour after the scheduled dose time.
If a dose has been taken in the last 6 hours on a long-acting Gocap, or in the last 3 hours on a fast-acting Gocap, no empty circle will be shown at all.
When a dose is taken, the circle is filled with a check mark and remains solid. Additional scheduled dose times may be added to the display as they occur, filing in from the right side of the display.
The Gocap will beep 10 times when the insulin pen from a fast-acting Gocap is removed during a long-acting schedule and there is no fast-acting dose scheduled that was set up on the Gocap app. To stop the beeping, insert the insulin pen back into the Gocap. The Gocap will not attempt to read any doses taken if it is still beeping.
