Re-syncing a Gocap

Make sure to turn on the Bluetooth on your mobile device. This can be done from the mobile device’s settings.

1. Plug the Gocap into the nearest outlet and verify that it is charging. A

2. Tap “Devices” on the top navigation menu. B

3. Tap the “Sync now” button in the “Devices” screen. B

It’s possible for a prompt to appear stating “Application is requesting permission to turn on Bluetooth. Allow?”. Press “Yes” to turn on the Bluetooth setting.

If the “Sync now” button is not available, long press the Gocap device image until the “Sync now” and “Remove this device” buttons appear. B1

4. The syncing screen reminds you to have the Gocap plugged in and charging. C

Make sure the Gocap is within 5 meters from the mobile device for the app to connect to it.

5. Once the Gocap resyncs, the Gocap image re-appears and “Last synced” time will change to the current time. D

When the Gocap is left plugged into an outlet, it will sync every 10 minutes with the android app and every 2 minutes with the iOS app as long as the Bluetooth is left turned on and the Gocap is within 5 meters from the mobile device.

When the Gocap is not plugged into an outlet, the Gocap will automatically attempt to sync every 24 hours. If there are unsynced doses on the Gocap, the Gocap will attempt to sync to the app every 8 hours.

The Gocap does not have to be plugged into an outlet to sync to the app after logging a dose. The dose will appear on the logbook as long as the Bluetooth is turned on the mobile device.

6. If the Gocap was still in use while it was not synced to the app, the unregistered doses will appear on the Logbook.

 

If the Gocap does not successfully re-sync:

  •  Make sure Bluetooth is on
  • Make sure the Gocap is charging
  • Make sure the Gocap is within 25 meters from the mobile device
  • Remove the Gocap from “Devices” and re-add the Gocap
  • Restart mobile device
  • Check for an app update on Google Play Store or Apple Store
