Adding or re-adding a Gocap to the Gocap Mobile App may need to occur after creating a new account, logging back into an existing account, or when the Gocap has completely discharged. Before adding the Gocap, turn on the Bluetooth on your mobile device. This can be done from the mobile device’s settings.
The app reminds you to never use Gocap to decide your dose amount. Always follow your doctor’s instructions.
It’s possible for a prompt to appear stating “Application is requesting permission to turn on Bluetooth. Allow?”. Press “Yes” to turn on the Bluetooth setting.
It’s possible for a prompt to appear stating “Allow Gocap to access this device’s location?”. Press “Allow” to successfully connect the Gocap to the app.*
It’s possible to receive a “Bluetooth pairing Request” asking “Pair with this device?”. Press “Pair” to allow the Gocap to connect to the app.
*The app requests access to your location because the app could potentially tell your location to any other devices listening for Bluetooth broadcasts.
If using the Gocap Android app, the Gocap will beep when the app has located and connected to the nearest Gocap.
Once a Gocap has been added, it will continue to sync to the app after each dose and when left plugged into an outlet as long as the mobile device is within 5 meters and the Bluetooth is turned on.
When the Gocap is not plugged into an outlet, the Gocap will automatically attempt to sync every 24 hours. If there are unsynced doses on the Gocap, the Gocap will attempt to sync to the app every 8 hours.
